MAX LIEBERMANN ROUTE
Max Liebermann is considered the most important German impressionist painter. The Netherlands was Max Liebermann's second homeland. From 1905 to 1913, Noordwijk (Huis ter Duincomplex) was his Dutch headquarters. A total of 127 oil paintings can be traced back to a Noordwijk location or area. Max Liebermann can be considered the painter who captured the early years of the seaside resort of Noordwijk. On 1 June 2018, a walking/cycling route will be opened, along which 23 panels with images of his paintings will be placed, exactly at the spot he captured on the canvas.
